Psalms 119:150

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination.

And Jonathan Saul’s son arose, and went to David into the wood, and strengthened his hand in God.

Now therefore send quickly, and tell David, saying, Lodge not this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily pass over; lest the king be swallowed up, and all the people that are with him.

Therefore they say unto God, Depart from us; for we desire not the knowledge of thy ways.

Be not far from me; for trouble is near; for there is none to help. Many bulls have compassed me: strong bulls of Bashan have beset me round. They gaped upon me with their mouths, as a ravening and a roaring lion.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

Seeing thou hatest instruction, and castest my words behind thee.

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us;

Rise, let us be going: behold, he is at hand that doth betray me. And while he yet spake, lo, Judas, one of the twelve, came, and with him a great multitude with swords and staves, from the chief priests and elders of the people.

How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge?

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
