Psalms 27:2

And many among them shall stumble, and fall, and be broken, and be snared, and be taken.

They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the Lord I will destroy them.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge? who eat up my people as they eat bread, and call not upon the Lord.

When mine enemies are turned back, they shall fall and perish at thy presence.

Why do ye persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

Arise, O Lord; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.

The sorrows of death compassed me, and the floods of ungodly men made me afraid.

For dogs have compassed me: the assembly of the wicked have inclosed me: they pierced my hands and my feet.

If the men of my tabernacle said not, Oh that we had of his flesh! we cannot be satisfied.

Judas then, having received a band of men and officers from the chief priests and Pharisees, cometh thither with lanterns and torches and weapons. Jesus therefore, knowing all things that should come upon him, went forth, and said unto them, Whom seek ye? They answered him, Jesus of Nazareth. Jesus saith unto them, I am he. And Judas also, which betrayed him, stood with them. As soon then as he had said unto them, I am he, they went backward, and fell to the ground.

How long will ye imagine mischief against a man? ye shall be slain all of you: as a bowing wall shall ye be, and as a tottering fence. They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

I have wounded them that they were not able to rise: they are fallen under my feet. For thou hast girded me with strength unto the battle: thou hast subdued under me those that rose up against me. Thou hast also given me the necks of mine enemies; that I might destroy them that hate me. They cried, but there was none to save them: even unto the Lord, but he answered them not. Then did I beat them small as the dust before the wind: I did cast them out as the dirt in the streets.
