Psalms 19:10

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of it is better than the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her.

How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

The law of thy mouth is better unto me than thousands of gold and silver.

Therefore I love thy commandments above gold; yea, above fine gold.

Neither have I gone back from the commandment of his lips; I have esteemed the words of his mouth more than my necessary food.

How much better is it to get wisdom than gold! and to get understanding rather to be chosen than silver!

Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it.

My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver.

It cannot be gotten for gold, neither shall silver be weighed for the price thereof. It cannot be valued with the gold of Ophir, with the precious onyx, or the sapphire. The gold and the crystal cannot equal it: and the exchange of it shall not be for jewels of fine gold.

My son, eat thou honey, because it is good; and the honeycomb, which is sweet to thy taste:

My soul shall be satisfied as with marrow and fatness; and my mouth shall praise thee with joyful lips:

And when the people were come into the wood, behold, the honey dropped; but no man put his hand to his mouth: for the people feared the oath. But Jonathan heard not when his father charged the people with the oath: wherefore he put forth the end of the rod that was in his hand, and dipped it in an honeycomb, and put his hand to his mouth; and his eyes were enlightened. Then answered one of the people, and said, Thy father straitly charged the people with an oath, saying, Cursed be the man that eateth any food this day. And the people were faint. Then said Jonathan, My father hath troubled the land: see, I pray you, how mine eyes have been enlightened, because I tasted a little of this honey.
