Luke 23:44

Now from the sixth hour there was darkness over all the land unto the ninth hour.

And when the sixth hour was come, there was darkness over the whole land until the ninth hour. And at the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eloi, Eloi, lama sabachthani? which is, being interpreted, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord God, that I will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the clear day:

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:

And the graves were opened; and many bodies of the saints which slept arose,

And it was the preparation of the passover, and about the sixth hour: and he saith unto the Jews, Behold your King!

Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light.

And when the centurion, which stood over against him, saw that he so cried out, and gave up the ghost, he said, Truly this man was the Son of God.

And the Lord said unto Moses, Stretch out thine hand toward heaven, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even darkness which may be felt. And Moses stretched forth his hand toward heaven; and there was a thick darkness in all the land of Egypt three days: They saw not one another, neither rose any from his place for three days: but all the children of Israel had light in their dwellings.

Was the Lord displeased against the rivers? was thine anger against the rivers? was thy wrath against the sea, that thou didst ride upon thine horses and thy chariots of salvation? Thy bow was made quite naked, according to the oaths of the tribes, even thy word. Selah. Thou didst cleave the earth with rivers. The mountains saw thee, and they trembled: the overflowing of the water passed by: the deep uttered his voice, and lifted up his hands on high. The sun and moon stood still in their habitation: at the light of thine arrows they went, and at the shining of thy glittering spear.

The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and the terrible day of the Lord come.

He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word.
