Jeremiah 37:2

He therefore that despiseth, despiseth not man, but God, who hath also given unto us his holy Spirit.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord his God, and humbled not himself before Jeremiah the prophet speaking from the mouth of the Lord. And he also rebelled against king Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by God: but he stiffened his neck, and hardened his heart from turning unto the Lord God of Israel. Moreover all the chief of the priests, and the people, transgressed very much after all the abominations of the heathen; and polluted the house of the Lord which he had hallowed in Jerusalem. And the Lord God of their fathers sent to them by his messengers, rising up betimes, and sending; because he had compassion on his people, and on his dwelling place: But they mocked the messengers of God, and despised his words, and misused his prophets, until the wrath of the Lord arose against his people, till there was no remedy.

And he did that which was evil in the sight of the Lord, according to all that Jehoiakim had done. For through the anger of the Lord it came to pass in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had cast them out from his presence, that Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

If a ruler hearken to lies, all his servants are wicked.

And they buried him; and all Israel mourned for him, according to the word of the Lord, which he spake by the hand of his servant Ahijah the prophet.

And also by the hand of the prophet Jehu the son of Hanani came the word of the Lord against Baasha, and against his house, even for all the evil that he did in the sight of the Lord, in provoking him to anger with the work of his hands, in being like the house of Jeroboam; and because he killed him.

Then said David, I will shew kindness unto Hanun the son of Nahash, as his father shewed kindness unto me. And David sent to comfort him by the hand of his servants for his father. And David’s servants came into the land of the children of Ammon.

And he sent by the hand of Nathan the prophet; and he called his name Jedidiah, because of the Lord.

And he said, O my Lord, send, I pray thee, by the hand of him whom thou wilt send.

And thou, profane wicked prince of Israel, whose day is come, when iniquity shall have an end,

I have also spoken by the prophets, and I have multiplied visions, and used similitudes, by the ministry of the prophets.

So Aaron and his sons did all things which the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.

He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.
