Genesis 21:14

And when he saw that, he arose, and went for his life, and came to Beer–sheba, which belongeth to Judah, and left his servant there.

Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest.

And the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water in the wilderness, by the fountain in the way to Shur.

Wherefore he called that place Beer–sheba; because there they sware both of them.

But unto the sons of the concubines, which Abraham had, Abraham gave gifts, and sent them away from Isaac his son, while he yet lived, eastward, unto the east country.

And they rose up betimes in the morning, and sware one to another: and Isaac sent them away, and they departed from him in peace.

And the servant abideth not in the house for ever: but the Son abideth ever.

He that blesseth his friend with a loud voice, rising early in the morning, it shall be counted a curse to him.

They wandered in the wilderness in a solitary way; they found no city to dwell in.

I made haste, and delayed not to keep thy commandments.

But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise. Which things are an allegory: for these are the two covenants; the one from the mount Sinai, which gendereth to bondage, which is Agar. For this Agar is mount Sinai in Arabia, and answereth to Jerusalem which now is, and is in bondage with her children.

And Abraham gat up early in the morning to the place where he stood before the Lord:

And Abraham planted a grove in Beer–sheba, and called there on the name of the Lord, the everlasting God.

So Abraham returned unto his young men, and they rose up and went together to Beer–sheba; and Abraham dwelt at Beer–sheba.

And Abraham rose up early in the morning, and saddled his ass, and took two of his young men with him, and Isaac his son, and clave the wood for the burnt offering, and rose up, and went unto the place of which God had told him.

And they did eat and drink, he and the men that were with him, and tarried all night; and they rose up in the morning, and he said, Send me away unto my master.

And he called it Shebah: therefore the name of the city is Beer–sheba unto this day.

And Esau took his wives, and his sons, and his daughters, and all the persons of his house, and his cattle, and all his beasts, and all his substance, which he had got in the land of Canaan; and went into the country from the face of his brother Jacob. For their riches were more than that they might dwell together; and the land wherein they were strangers could not bear them because of their cattle.

And a certain man found him, and, behold, he was wandering in the field: and the man asked him, saying, What seekest thou?

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer–sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

For the fields of Heshbon languish, and the vine of Sibmah: the lords of the heathen have broken down the principal plants thereof, they are come even unto Jazer, they wandered through the wilderness: her branches are stretched out, they are gone over the sea.
