1 Kings 12:18

And Ahishar was over the household: and Adoniram the son of Abda was over the tribute.

And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.

And Adoram was over the tribute: and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder:

Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord, And cast him out of the city, and stoned him: and the witnesses laid down their clothes at a young man’s feet, whose name was Saul.

And he said, Whether they be come out for peace, take them alive; or whether they be come out for war, take them alive. So these young men of the princes of the provinces came out of the city, and the army which followed them. And they slew every one his man: and the Syrians fled; and Israel pursued them: and Ben–hadad the king of Syria escaped on an horse with the horsemen.

Then king Rehoboam sent Hadoram that was over the tribute; and the children of Israel stoned him with stones, that he died. But king Rehoboam made speed to get him up to his chariot, to flee to Jerusalem.

And they conspired against him, and stoned him with stones at the commandment of the king in the court of the house of the Lord.

Then went the captain with the officers, and brought them without violence: for they feared the people, lest they should have been stoned.

And he that is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked in that day, saith the Lord.

And Moses cried unto the Lord, saying, What shall I do unto this people? they be almost ready to stone me.

But all the congregation bade stone them with stones. And the glory of the Lord appeared in the tabernacle of the congregation before all the children of Israel.

The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion. For the transgression of a land many are the princes thereof: but by a man of understanding and knowledge the state thereof shall be prolonged.
